It appears our local news has conflicting numbers on how many in total were shot since Friday. The above link says one thing, this "Headline" states this: "2 Killed, 30 Wounded in Chicago Weekend Shootings." Plus, you can add another three with two shot in Albany Park, and another shot in West Garfield Park. Go fucking figure.
Meanwhile, our sorry-ass politicians continue ignoring the carnage. Need proof? Have you noticed the new governor hasn't addressed the issue? He's so busy making sure his rich buddies pay no taxes, while shifting the burden on low wage workers, elderly, and poor.
