Boy, 17, Killed In East Garfield Park Shooting « CBS Chicago
So far, the sad total for now, Sunday, stands at 4 shot, including the death. Since Friday, possibly running into Saturday, there were 2 killed, and 19 wounded.
I would hate being a crime reporter looking at these grim numbers on a daily basis. Maybe our newspapers, and news channels could provide a monthly total including the daily, and weekend madness. This would help the public get a better understanding of the amount of lives destroyed, and force our legislators into enacting sentencing guideline reform.
Just a thought.
