Can't we go one week without any shootings? Nope. As long as we can go online and skip into Indiana, guns will always be a problem for the State of Illinois. If only law-abiding minorities bought and openly carried guns on the streets, only then would you see lawmakers scrambling for more aggressive gun control legislation. It happened before.
Remember when Blacks got so fed up with police brutality in California? They began openly carrying weapons legally. The racist quickly shit their collective pants and the next thing you know, that law was repealed. It happened before and it can happen again.
