While they marched yesterday, several people were wounded. Now, 3 more were wounded today before noon. The only time politicians will jump into action is when it begins hitting them at the ballot box and wallet. And by wallet, I mean the wealthy donors who'll stop giving when the violence spreads into their neighborhoods. And if there's anything I know about violence, it spreads like cancer.
I don't mind you marching and shutting down the Dan Ryan, Lake Shore Drive, or even inconveniencing fans and traffic at Wrigley Field. It only becomes effective when the violence begins its ugly spread in those areas. That's when "those people" will march with you.
