Think about this. When that other Mayor instituted his unconstitutional handgun ban, people were still getting shot at a higher rate. Even during that time period, our legislature did nothing. No sentencing reform, no stricter gun laws.
Today, the claim is, "crime is down." Still, our legislature has done nothing. No sentencing reform, no stricter gun laws. Criminals once caught receive a slap on the wrist and are released back on the streets, unless their crime is truly heinous. Yet the majority of these shooters walk amongst us. Ex-convicts cannot own a firearm. Yet they still get them via illegal means. Once caught, they receive a slap on the wrist. Our legislature is still doing nothing. No sentencing reform, no stricter gun laws.
