Do you see the pattern? The key word is "known gang ties or associates". So what do you do if you want a reduction in these shootings? Well, it's simple. Don't join, or associate with "Known Gang Members".
Sure, some of them may be friends, or family. But what if one day you find yourself walking your little son or daughter towards any destination with one of them? Sure, you and your children don't have bulls-eyes on your backs. But they do.
Since our politicians refuse doing any legislative work on this madness, it's up to all of us in finding effective ways for dealing with the carnage. So the lesson is simple for a reduction in shootings. Don't join, or associate with known gang members. Your life, and your children's life, will thank you.
