Student drug testing may have only small effect in reducing use
Why waste money on something that should be a parental responsibility? Who got lobbied for making another company/corporation richer? Kids coming to school under the influence fall squarely on the parents.
Let's get rid of this failed, and flawed policy, and place the financial, and responsibility burden where it belongs, in the home of those students. I really do become irked by people that yammer about "Government Intrusion" into their lives,when their own children are coming to school, public, and private, high. If you can't get them under control, pay up. Why should our elected officials use taxpayer money to pay a drug testing company/corporation for your lack of responsibility? If you really want government out of your lives, stop being irresponsible parents, and monitor your child's behavior. Teach them respect, not only for themselves, but for others. Drug testing children is a very bad sign folks. It demonstrates a total lack of responsibility on the parental front.
Why oh why are we even doing this?
