Imagine if that was legal, and the tax revenue that came with it?
Talk about closing budget gaps. Folks, it's the sensible thing for our elected leaders to do. Just look at all the data collected, and just legalize it already. Why let the drug barons rake in all that cash? Why continue turning a blinds eye to the impressive revenue this product can, and will bring in? Remember the zealots and "Prohibition"? That just didn't work out so well did it? Well, guess what? This isn't either.
As long as there is crime, the public, and private prison industry will stay in business. We will still have our dummies that will rob, rape, murder, extort, drunk drive, and engage in domestic disturbances. 1936 is a long time ago people. Just imagine what all that tax revenue could do? Yep, fully staffed police departments, fire, emt's, fixed roads, sidewalks, parks, and newly built, modern schools, and hospitals. Wow! That sure would be nice wouldn't it? If not, you can truly expect a city income tax on the horizon. And that would be dumber than a box of rocks, when you have all that tax revenue sitting right in front of you.
Legalize it, and just tax it like smokes, and booze. Just think of the extra revenue will ya?
