Emanuel defends property tax increase for Chicago Public Schools
Fine if you wish to go that route, how about all that wasteful spending the school board does on office supplies, furniture, sugar, coffee, and the other items they buy in bulk, just to run back and ask for more money?
Yes Mayor, the school broad orders these items to show you that they spent the money allocated to them. What they don't show you are the warehouses these items are sitting in that go back to whomever they ordered it from, only to be crushed. Yeah, I know, just like all those blue containers sitting in a warehouse that were supposed to be used for recycling.
Mr. Mayor, locate these warehouses this stuff is sitting in, and don't let it get crushed. Sell it.
