If you go and watch the interview between Common and former police superintendent Joseph McCarthy, you will have a better understanding of how and why this carnage is happening. It all has to do with the racist policies of past and current politicians. Know thy history.
Prior to Jim Crow, and the KKK native Americans were damn near wiped out because they were different. The Italians and then the Irish were shoved into ghettos when they arrived, because they were different. The great exodus from the South because of employment opportunities terrified the racist so they once again, shoved Blacks into ghettos because they were different. We call this segregation. Yet, when crime happened in those areas marijuana and cocaine wasn't grown there. It was imported. Who had the means for such transportation?
Today, history repeats itself. There will be a lull in the violence once a new revenue stream crops up. So once again, know thy history because your current politicians sure do.
