How's that for an excuse? A lack of resources. They just borrowed a mobile forensic crime lab from the feds. They should also be putting up more cameras throughout the streets and alleys. That's more federal money the city could ask for. Yet here's the rub. The ACLU is stopping the city from placing cameras up and down neighborhood streets citing privacy issues. Ain't that a bitch? The cameras only record up and down the streets and alleys until a gunshot is detected. It will capture the asshole/holes that did it. Hell, if lucky, even a make, model, and plate number if a vehicle is involved. In the meantime, the second link is still going on.
