Meanwhile, our local politicians and clergy continue ignoring the carnage. What's up with that?

How do you call yourself a nation of laws and sit-back and do nothing as people, gang members or not, are being slaughtered on a daily basis? Why would you vote into law a bill that strips its citizens of their right to sue gun makers? And why are states with more stricter gun laws not suing states with weaker gun laws that allow those weapons flowing in? What's up with that?
