Once again, our local politicians and clergy continue ignoring the carnage. Are you still wondering why? Well, you shouldn't.

The second link says it all. The top cop explained that they did a record amount of gun seizures but, it doesn't mean shit when any straw buyer can skip across the state and buy more. He also said they are putting more cops on the streets via hiring. But, that doesn't mean shit when the community they serve doesn't have jobs for the people.

If anything, most the the people on the streets are lucky if they even have a high school diploma. You need at the very least, an associates degree to become a cop or firefighter. Other then that, you will either flip burgers, wait on tables, or bag groceries for a low wage. Provided your lucky and have a vehicle, then you can slog in the suburbs doing back-breaking distribution work for the same low wage. If and when these politicians grow a backbone and legalize and tax the sale of marijuana, there will be more infrastructure jobs for many.

But that just makes sense, so don't expect that happening anytime soon. So now, you shouldn't be wondering why.
