Suit: Homewood Cops Injured 82-Year-Old Woman « CBS Chicago

Suit: Homewood Cops Injured 82-Year-Old Woman « CBS Chicago

Unfortunately, there are still bad apples in the barrel.

It happens across the country, and many can relate when overzealous officers come a barging. They scare the holy shit out of you with guns pointed, and yelling. I've seen it with my own eyes when they pointed a gun at my sickly, elderly, mother. It not only scared the holy shit out of me, it pissed me off greatly. Thankfully, my military experience, enhanced my situational approach.

They didn't bother ringing the doorbell, nor knocking. They just broke it down, and began their reign of terror, yelling, and pointing guns, demanding my mother get out of bed. I had a sandwich in my hand. The overzealous cop made me put it on the floor. Unless the cop was Jewish, or Muslim, I never knew a ham sandwich was dangerous. Yet there they were, looking for my brother with an "arrest warrant", demanding to "search the house". I asked for the warrant several times over their demand to execute a search. They continued the refusal.

The next thing you know, they pulled out the old coercion card. They threatened locking all of us up, unless I consented letting them search. I knew it was bullshit, because they would have much explaining to do, had they locked us up. But, out of concern for my mother, and at that time, appeared the only way for getting them out of my house, I consented. Naturally, they fucked the house up, even going so far as knocking over a glass of milk on purpose. They found nothing.

My brother showed up. I told them, there he is. They finally gave me the warrant, and upon "Reading" it, yes we can do that folks, I informed the officer this isn't a "search warrant", and you had no right threatening my family with arrest. They proceeded arresting my brother without comment,  when his "case" was heard, the judge threw out the charge. It just so happened someone lied to the cops because of a grudge, or something against my brother.

Much to my displeasure, a family member accidentally threw away the warrant. I was going to use it in a civil suit, just to teach those "Bad Apples" a lesson.
