Correct me if I'm wrong but since Sunday, I've counted 4 dead and 29 people wounded so far, and it's not even Friday afternoon. That is just way too much violence and it is simple insanity as our politicians continue doing nothing but paying us lip service.

There is so much that can be done legislatively. Legalize marijuana and tax it like cigarettes and booze. Use those revenues for mental health services and job creation. Institute universal background checks. Close the fucking gun show loophole, and hold gun manufacturers and states with weaker gun laws accountable and subject to lawsuits. It's way past time our politicians start doing something, instead of nothing but paying us lip service.

You realize we are only 6 days into this month and well over 25 people have been shot with double digit fatalities? 6 fucking days.

Meanwhile, our politicians continue ignoring all this carnage. At this pace, come 18 days that will be over 75 shot and God knows how many killed. Imagine if these terrorist pick up the pace like they did on their murderous weekend last month? This is serious and there has not been one press conference so far. 6 fucking days.

Meanwhile, the march and politicians continue having no effect on the carnage that went on overnight. When you think about it, that police presence could have been better served in the communities where the shootings occurred. Maybe someone should bring that to the attention of that pastor.

Even with the extra cops out there these idiots still pulled off another bloody weekend. And if that wasn't bad enough, that pastor still wants to clog up an expressway instead of marching where the shootings take place.

Let's face it. This expressway thing, is just an exercise in futility. They kept shooting after the Dan Ryan. They kept shooting after Lake Shore Drive. They will keep shooting after the Kennedy march is done. I get your purpose for doing this. People are very much aware of the violence happening in Black and Brown neighborhoods. They just don't give a shit because, it isn't happening where they live. Until then, march where the shootings happen, not where they don't.

Meanwhile, our politicians continue ignoring the carnage. It took one bloody weekend for the mayor to come out from under his bed. Now, with this steady drumbeat of bloodshed, he's nowhere to be found. Week after week, weekend after weekend, the wounded and bodies pile up with no end in sight. It's September and we already have 2 people dead and 6 people wounded from gunfire. It isn't even noon as I type this on a Sunday, and there has already been two more people shot.

Meanwhile, a pastor wants a march on an expressway instead of marching where the shootings happen. Think about that for a second. If you saturate the area where the shootings occur, they can't commit crimes because of the heavy police presence. It's all about priorities. Inconveniencing motorist in all honesty, doesn't bring sympathy for your cause. Let's be honest. Racist Whites don't care about Black and Brown people killing each other. As long as it is not happening where they live on a daily basis, they simply don't care. So, clogging up the expressway will only make them more madder and racist. If you really want to make an impact, go where the shootings happen.
