In all honesty, this is an epidemic. If history is any indicator, this will spread. Only after the spreading in "different communities", will you finally see politicians react.
People will move from these war torn areas, and predictably the criminal element will follow. They must feed upon people of means to support their drug trade. If our politicians had an ounce of brains, they would legalize marijuana and use the profits for education, infrastructure, and social services.
I say again, if history is any indicator, this epidemic will spread. The only feasible way of stopping this epidemic, is quick and decisive action from our politicians. Let's just hope they will.
