This is so fucked up. It makes it even harder when adults (Hello Mayor) give kids bullshit answers to serious questions. The Mayor could have said he'd lobby the shit out of congress for more cameras on every street corner and intersection.
At the very least, gangs would become more aware of their perilous situation, and think twice before committing a crime. No matter their age, kids look towards adults for answers about everyday life, good or bad. Giving them bullshit answers has repercussions. So Mr. Mayor, get off your ass and lobby the shit out of congress for more cameras.
