Meanwhile, our politicians and clergy continue ignoring the carnage. It's Friday, so expect those dreadful numbers will go up. The legislature must step up its game when it comes to criminal justice reform.
We need the right to sue gun makers and states that have weaker laws. They must be held accountable. We need tougher sentencing for criminals that use guns in the commission of a crime. If a felon is caught using a gun that should be a no excuse automatic 20 years. If death occurred, life. If and when they catch a straw buyer, an automatic 10 years. What's so difficult about that? The legislature must step up.
