It's simply because he doesn't give a shit. What many politicians will never acknowledge is their racist policies of lack of economic opportunities in urban areas as the root cause of gangs. Let me take you on a trip down memory lane. Banks refusal in giving Blacks loans for start up businesses of any kind. Vietnam ends and we get stores popping up in minority community's. Same goes with strife in the Arab world with Gulf war one. They came, set up shop and minorities once again left out in the cold. Manufacturing jobs gone. Nothing replacing them but retail jobs paying low wages. Distribution centers setting up shop in the far suburbs. Lack of proper public transportation systems in those far suburbs allows for revolving door policies so minorities cannot become established and secure. The infamous War on Drugs creates mass incarcerations of minorities.
Yep. They just don't want to address the root cause because, they caused it all.
