Well, one could go on and on about this problem. But in reality, it's up to the people.
If you don't attend police meetings, or flood your elected representatives office, nothing will ever come about. The rich don't care because they don't live where you do. The only time they open their mouths is when they are about to donate money to a person running for office. My elected representative moved their office, and didn't bother, or feel obligated in telling the people who elected her. We had to find out using this computer thingy. My state senator did the same thing.
This is why these insane shootings keep happening. Our elected representatives think we are stupid. They only interact with us when they need votes. After that, we get the finger. Ask yourself, what so hard about changing a misdemeanor to a felony? The gun used in the downtown store shooting was falsely reported stolen. The lady that gave the gun away, should also be charged with murder. But guess what? She's not. She got a fucking slap on the wrist, and will be free once again to walk the streets, buy another gun, and do it again. It's up to the people.
