That didn't take long for polishing up the shiny turd and trotting it out routine. Yet, you must give the man credit. He's harping about the same problem many of us know, but apparently our politicians are obviously blind and indifferent towards.
"McCarthy said shootings and murders continue to be a problem because
of the number of illegal guns on the street. Last year, his officers
seized nearly 7,000 of them.
"That is the number that defines the
challenges in our department and our city, but it comes to reducing
violence. We are recovering an average of 19 illegal guns each day,"
McCarthy said."
