In the meantime, our politicians, clergy, and prosecutors continue ignoring the carnage on a daily basis. Law enforcement just basically reacts when the gunfire erupts. Detectives must rely on eyewitness statements and go from there. If a suspect is ever caught and charged, it's the prosecutors and judges that must ensure the suspect is convicted and never released on our streets ever again. Why is that so difficult? Well, some witnesses refuse testifying out of fear from gang retaliation. Others fear the police. So what do we do as a nation about this problem?
