In the meantime, our politicians and clergy continue ignoring the carnage. Still no joint press conference expressing outrage or a plan. Still no mass protest lead by religious leaders demanding action or expressing outrage. I find that highly odd.
They could fix the sentencing guidelines and stop the revolving door of repeat offenders and lock them up for life. But, they haven't. They are attempting passing legislation requiring "fingerprinting" for gun purchases. We'll wait and see how that goes. But, they didn't close the gun show loophole. They still haven't reinstated the assault weapons ban, nor passed universal background check legislation. I find that highly odd.
