I wonder what happened with that "known gang member list" the police have? I ask because we know these fuckers are repeat offenders. So, why can't the police check them on the street for gunshot residue? The federal agents are loaning them a mobile forensic lab, so why not round them up and test them? Another thing the city could do, is request some money from congress and ask residents if they want cameras installed on their homes or apartments for free? I bet many residents will jump at such an offer. It just never hurts to ask.
