So Senator Kirk and Durbin, how is it that you guys, and our Mayor can magically find money for sprucing up downtown, and "crushing street gangs", yet not one red cent for keeping schools from closing, and job training programs? You three do realize that if any "opportunities" become available that "crushes" not only the city, and state unemployment numbers, maybe, just maybe there will materialize, a drop in crime?
If only there is an opportunity for addressing the real problem like having these lost souls in school, or having a legitimate job, horrors like the headline will hopefully become extremely rare.
