Just read the article. Totally senseless.
Decades ago, the last Mayor happily proclaimed "officers will be on foot patrol in neighborhoods." I've lived here since 1991, and haven't seen any "Walking". Once in a blue moon, you just might see some on bikes. This year? Nope, not yet. I've often thought, why are all these patrol cars in the parking lot of the police station? Where are the officers? Are they busy doing paperwork? Meanwhile, the douche-bag drug dealers and gang pukes continue creating mayhem. Go outside and there they are. Standing by bus stops, parks, near schools, and those shitty "convenience stores" that sell booze and blunts.
Meanwhile, our elected, spineless, officials haven't passed zip, like other States on gun safety legislation.
