School Closing Opponents Call Mayor A Racist Liar « CBS Chicago


Wow! That's a little rough. Look folks, you don't have to stoop that low, when all you have to do is inform the communities of what's really been going on for decades. The first Mayor, Richard Daley, not his son, implemented what some have dubbed "The Chicago Twenty-One Plan."

For those of you not aware of this, it's a simple, subtle plan of moving Blacks out of the city, so wealthy Whites can move back in. For those about to blow this off, think first of all that's been going on since this plan went into effect. The best way for a plan to bear fruit, is to do it right in front of your eyes. Parking meters, sold. Meigs Field, gone. Skyway, sold. Blue recycling cans sitting in your alley full, done. Each of those mentioned used "Public Employee's. Not anymore. Oh did I forget school closing, and "Parking Permits? That was on purpose.

When I attended elementary school it was all Black. When I attended junior high, or as they called it, upper grade center, all Black. When I attended high school, "Boom!" Diversity. Well that didn't sit well with the powerful. So what did they do? Built a new high school in the Black neighborhood, kept the Hispanic/Latino population in the old one, and reduced it to grades K-8, kept the old rival high school and sent the graduating Hispanic/Latino population there, and shuffled, mixed, and matched the White students elsewhere.


But please folks. Don't call the mayor such names. It demonstrates a lack of education when this has been going on for decades. Remember. The Chicago Twenty-One Plan. It's been slowly working bit by bit.
