Of course they are going into suburban communities. It's nothing more than that old "Turn The Lights On And Watch Them Scatter Approach". Everyone expected it. So it really shouldn't come as a surprise for law enforcement.
Sharing information within law enforcement is the critical element that must always be in-place not only at the local level, but State and Federal as well. Once they decided to demolish those buildings, everyone with a brain knew those people would have to live somewhere else, with or without the bad seeds that came with them. Let's face the facts. They will continue moving into other areas because the kid told the police, "He's not going to do any time". That's nothing more but a call for our legislators to wake up, and do some serious reform to our criminal justice system.
Here's a suggestion for the juvenile element. Demand they complete a High School education with a minimum two year college course, or face the penal system. As for our grown criminals, well you know longer stays will deter the youth because they will see that it just isn't worth it, unless you are a White Collar Criminal. Funny how they always seem to walk through the raindrops.
So law enforcement, share information with each other. And who knows. Maybe we could push them all the way too Antarctica? Hey, it's just a thought.
