Wait, you are going to waste taxpayer money on a "new" department that will not solve the problem of gun violence? How about saving us some money and just install cameras on every street and alley throughout the city? Hire people to monitor those cameras, a minimum high school diploma requirement should suffice, and put a phone in front of them so they can dispatch police. Oh wait, that's 911 without the cameras on every street and alley. Okay city, I just saved the taxpayers a ton of money. My consultant fee is 10 grand. Donate it via this blog and implement my suggestion.
