It's still way too many. Meanwhile, our nations religious leaders of all faiths are still not leading mass protest marches in any of the affected neighborhoods across the country. Our local, state, and federal elected officials continue sitting on their collective hands by not coming up with any effective legislation dealing with this sickening problem either. Here's a suggestion. "Documented gang members" are indeed domestic terrorist. They launder money via drug sales. They acquire weapons using "straw buyers." These actions alone would be cause for charges under current RICO Act violations. Yet, they are not enforced. This state has a "repeat gun offender law" that is rarely used. Simplify all of it with a national domestic terrorism law. Now, let's demand some action.
