Police: 3 killed, 14 hurt in weekend shootings


It gets towards a point in folks lives they become numb when reading about this carnage in our city, because politicians refuse fixing the problem. The politicians held a hearing, meeting, better yet, a dog and pony show to make the infamous appearance of doing something. Yet all we got was no solutions, just the same old arguments.

For instance. Show me an economist that claims overtime is good for governments, and I'll show you a motherfucker I'll never take my taxes too. If you listen long enough they may just fool you into thinking they are correct. Yet, do the math yourself. Underfunded, understaffed police departments is just fucked up on its face. Add overtime, and you get a bunch of sleep deprived officers that can't make quick decisions.

Now take a second, or better yet buy a map of the city. Take notice where these shootings occur most often. If you noticed, many are within blocks of one another on a daily and weekend basis. That in itself raises questions such as; what the fuck happened to foot patrols? Remember that little gem promised to voters? Hell, I've been here since 1991 and only seen that once. One would think having shootings in such concentrated areas policing would be a snap? NOT!

And that's the problem folks. No solutions, just the same old arguments.
