Police shortage a growing problem; city 2,000 shy :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: City Hall
What else can you say besides WTF? Yet the city council wants forced days off, and no pay raises.
Maybe they can use the money from the property tax fiasco for hiring more officers? After all, the majority of poor, lower, and middle-class communities are the ones hit hardest by crime.
The really sad part about this article, the police department hasn't been fully staffed for several decades. Hell, even back in 1984 when I applied.
A growing problem is an understatement. WTF
