Look at the neighborhoods where this shit is happening. Many people are under the impression it only happens in Black and Brown communities. No it doesn't. It's almost everywhere like a spreading disease. Broadway street is Chicago's favorite drinking hole. There's bars galore up and down that street. If people are getting shot there, watch that street become a ghost town. And we all know what that means. No money pouring in. The mayor and aldermen representing that district will shit their collective pants when business owners of these drinking holes come screaming at them.

Still thinking why your politicians don't give a fuck? Well, it's not in their interest. There's no money in it for them if and when the shooting stops. They can't make deals with private prisons. They can't pass more dumber open/concealed carry laws. The NRA and ALEC will stop funding their campaigns for re-election. A safe, functioning society doesn't pay well because everyone is treated equal, and there is no profit to be gained. You, the voter must vote these carnage kings out.

It doesn't matter if you live in a democratic or republican held city, town, or state. Just follow the money. You know your roads need repairing. You know your schools (Public) are underfunded. You know your sales taxes have risen, while income taxes for the wealthy continue getting cut. You see attempt after attempt of privatization of services that help those less fortunate. Do you remember the hard-on they had for destroying the postal service? Yet, when FedEx and UPS said Oh hell no we can't deliver in rural areas, are drivers would need pay increases. That hard-on got soft quick. But the next brain-fart they came up with is far more deadly. They, with the help of the NRA decided giving guns to mentally unstable people is a good idea. Open and concealed carry laws in a majority of states. Look at your politicians and where you live, and follow the money.
