Meanwhile, our politicians, prosecutors, and religious leaders of all faiths continue failing the public on this critical issue. We all know how we can reduce these horrible numbers. We need people working with a decent living wage. We need our sentencing guidelines strengthen for repeat gun offenders and straw buyers. We need universal background checks that local, state, county, and federal law enforcement can share. And lastly, documented gang members should be designated as domestic terrorist along with the Klan and other organizations that do harm to innocent civilians.
