Sadly, these numbers have already increased. Another local paper has the tally at 11 and climbing. Yet, in the meantime our local politicians and clergy continue ignoring this pervasive carnage.
Just like the rest of you, I haven't heard a peep from the governor, mayor, city council, and state legislative body. When on those rare occasions any of them hold a press conference, the media gives them a pass by not demanding answers on getting the violence under control. Also, just like the rest of you, our church leaders are surprisingly absent from this issue, Why haven't they held a united press conference demanding accountability and legislation?
Odd isn't it? Pervasive violence and nothing is done.
