Nix the Nazi talk: Rush ought to be ashamed :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Richard Roeper

Nix the Nazi talk: Rush ought to be ashamed :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Richard Roeper

Some serious blow back is going down with certain personalities using such language. One in particular is losing advertisers like putting air in a flat tire. Yet the question that isn't asked often, why haven't more punitive measures been taken?

This is dangerous, and explosive behavior. On its face, it's extremely offensive. And yet, to this very day, not one of these people are being held to account. Where are the "Top Cops", District Attorney's, States Attorney's, U.S. Attorney's on this matter? Where are the fines from the FCC, for "joking" on air, of "putting poison" in the Speaker of the House drink?

And what about "The Real Spokesman of the Republican Party"? This person has a proven track record of bigoted comments. He's even lost a job for disparaging a Black athlete. He's also attacked "Veterans" that have called-in to voice simple disagreement with him. Yet he's still on the radio comparing people to Hitler and the Nazi party. I don't know about you, but this tells me the bosses in charge really condone such talk. I say this because he hasn't been fined, nor suspended.

I guess we still have a "double standard" in this country when it comes to race. This will never change until, these people (for lack of a better word) will continue to disparage others until they finally face fines, suspensions, and outright dismissal.
