Preckwinkle defends proposal to tax guns, ammo in Cook County - Chicago Sun-Times


Well I'll be damned! Here's something myself and the Illinois Rifle Association can agree on. This "proposal" will go down in flames for the simple fact, it does nothing in the effort of combating crime. Correct that. Terrorist.

Madam President, as you already know, criminals with felonies can't walk into a gun shop and purchase a weapon, unless they attend those "Open Air" events, or use the no-good, scum of the earth, straw purchaser. This "Tax" is useless. It only burdens law-abiding citizens. Madam President, Mr. Mayor, and Governor, you all need a wake up call and brand these criminals as the terrorist that they are. It is time for all of you to face that fact.

Taxing law-abiding citizens will never seriously address what these terrorist truly need. Life without the possibility of parole is something they may comprehend. Taxing us, does nothing in the effort of combating crime. Correct that. Terrorist.
