Remember a few post back about my thoughts on our very weak sentencing guidelines? Well hold onto your butts, because here's more proof the shit is fucked up.
If you click the link above this post, you'll find how this low-life dirt-bag was amazingly, not slipping, but just fell through the cracks. Before that, I wish to beg a question or two of our highly educated county, and state prosecutors. Isn't being charged with "aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance" two felonies? Now according to this article, the dirt-bag in question faced those charges in 2012. How did he get out so fast, that he picked up a second charge of "unlawful use of a weapon, and no firearms card"? Are you telling me and the rest of the people in this state, that he's some kind of big-shot? How did he get out so fast with such charges, and murder a mother and child?
Lastly, you do realize you both have blood on your hands? Fix the damn sentencing guidelines.

What a giant waste of time.
What makes you think they have the money for paying such a fine? All of us know they don't have the money, and you will just keep them in jail for a period of time, and let them right back out.
All of us know they use drug money to straw purchase such weapons. Why are you not addressing that problem? Why are you not trying to get the legislators down state to fix the broken sentencing laws? You think just because you roll out another "Big Fine Talking Point" people will slap you on the back and yelp good job? Funny. Don't you have another "Big Fine Talking Point" on truancy? How's that working out? From this perspective, not very well with all the shootings going on.
Until I see some major reform movement on the sentencing guidelines, I'll continue being extremely cynical. And do you want to know why? Because it's just another waste of time.

They Are Not Criminals, They Are Terrorist

The GOP and NRA have this fantasy that conceal carry laws will stop these terrorist in their tracks. And folks, that is all that this is. A fantasy.
These terrorist don't follow the rules as you and I do. They don't care about the law. I guess you can compare them to corporations. They don't care about anything but enriching themselves, and who gets hurt or killed in the process, doesn't matter.
Now we have children without a father, because of simple ignorance, and evil. Yet if you ask a member of the GOP, and NRA they will chime "if he was armed..." That's a fantasy. That's a big hypothetical. Such a scenario has so many outcomes, they just cannot be listed.
One glaring fact does remain. More children are once again parent-less, because of gutless politicians and a gun manufacturing lobby, because of a stupid fantasy.

Ah, the old smoke and mirrors routine. It never works, only real leadership does.
Slapping out "Fines" to people they know well cannot be afforded. It's just like all the hot air about truancy. Our politicians raised the fine, and undisciplined teens still roam the streets in marauding bands especially downtown, scaring rich White people.
Here's a question for the people that live in these "Targeted Community's". Has the Mayor, or your alder-person walked around the neighborhoods on a regular basis? Have they "SEEN" the drug dealers, and gang members standing, or sitting in or around bus and train stops, parks, and schools? The answer for those questions is a resounding No. If they did such things, that would be presented as hands on leadership. And you know what? The constituents would be proud. And you know why? Because they would not SEE these douche-bags hanging around such places.
