WTF Madness: Parental responsibility ordinance shot down

https://chicago.suntimes.com/city-hall/2026/03/03/parental-responsibility-ordinance-vote-curfew-graffiti-crime-teens

https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2026/03/03/child-abuse-epstein-scandal-chicago-childrens-advocacy-center

Normally, this space tracks shooting from around the world and here in the US. Today's and yesterday's news were the typical horrible car crashes and thefts. But, the above links are total jaw-dropping shit.

When your minors are out on the streets causing crime, you need to discipline them. That is your fucking responsibility as parents. The city sees it the same way as I, that's why they shirked their responsibility to hold you parents accountable. Lastly, holding wealthy perverts accountable because they pay people off is a fucking major problem here in the US. Once they are brought to justice, they magically commit suicide. Ain't that some jaw-dropping shit?

Madness Continues: Man found shot to death inside Roseland home

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/shooting-death-roseland-home/

https://chicago.suntimes.com/transportation/2026/03/02/cta-chicago-transit-authority-crime-archive-history

I'm curious about the first link for its lack of detail. There was no mention of forced entry. That would lead any person to theorize, the victim knew the shooter. I'm also wondering if there was a video doorbell installed? If not on that home, what about the surrounding homes/apartments? Just a thought.

Madness Continues: 17-year-old shot during robbery on Chicago's West Side

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/17-year-shot-robbery-chicago-west-side/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/fatal-drive-by-shooting-in-chicago-lawn/

We have a 17-year-old out way past curfew. Yes folks, 17 is considered being a minor unless you are having sex with another of the same age. Go figure. But, I digress. He got jacked and shot. What else would any sane person think that it's safe for a minor to be out at 3 in the morning?

Madness Continues: Pennsylvania man set multiple fires around his home because he "needed to kill the spiders," police say

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/spider-fire-pennsylvania-sean-mcdermott/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-shot-rogers-park/

Talk about mental health awareness. I do hope this guy gets help because his insurance company isn't going to pay for arson. Lastly, the domestic terrorist strikes again with zero outrage from religious leaders of all faiths.

Madness Continues: Two shot at local Olive Garden

 https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/police-swarm-local-olive-garden-105231220.html

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/person-in-custody-death-uber-eats-driver-daniel-figueroa-loretto-hospital/

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-dog-shot-wounded-chicago-west-pullman/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/boys-charged-robberies-chicago-south-loop-fuller-park/

We all see how horrible these links are. People can't eat in peace, can't deliver food in peace, can't walk your pet in peace. Now, we have an asshole for a 17-year-old sharing how to corrupt a 14-year-old. Both of them should be in school and not on the streets committing crimes. The parents really dropped the ball with these two.

Madness Continues: High School Student Facing More Than 300 Felony Charges for Running a 'Sextortion' Scheme That Exploited Minors

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/high-school-student-facing-more-214108464.html

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/el-mencho-killed-25-mexican-national-guard-troops-killed-jalisco-cartel/

https://wgntv.com/news/chicagocrime/28-year-old-man-found-dead-on-west-side-homicide-ruled/

How in the hell did this guy dupe a bunch of horny kids? The answer is simple. They are and always be horny, that's how. Their parents don't monitor their internet activities. They see their kids as friends and not their responsibility. Once they reach puberty, all bets are off. Keep that in mind, parents. You do see how long it took before they busted this douche? Imagine the trauma your kids went and still are going through.

Madness Continues: 2 People Killed, 7 Others Injured in Mass Shooting in Virginia

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/2-people-killed-7-others-212420462.html

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/at-least-1-person-injured-shooting-i-57-chicago-south-side/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-weekend-shootings-from-feb-20-to-23/

Another mass shooting. Shocking! Not. Domestic terrorist striking again. Shocking! Not. No mass protest led by religious leaders of all faiths and their respective flocks demanding action from lawmakers. Are you surprised? You get the general idea of the lack of seriousness this country takes about this horror? I'm out.

It's Still Madness: 1 person dead, 6 others wounded in Chicago weekend shootings, CPD says

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-weekend-shootings-feb-13-to-16/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/cps-special-education-assistant-charged-putting-student-in-chokehold/

I know we have laws on the books. But, sometimes we should consider letting the parents have a crack at some of these abusive teachers. We all know the parents want a crack at that so-called assistant. Don't worry, the law and maybe an inmate will have a crack at them.

Madness Continues: Man beaten and robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight in West Loop

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/armed-robbery-attack-west-loop-fulton-peoria/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/teen-shot-chicago-far-south-side/

Here's what pisses me off most. I don't if the person called the police first, or filmed afterward. Either way, call the police first. Lastly, the domestic terrorist keep shooting kids and nothing is being done about from our elected leaders. Let that sink in.

Madness Continues: Man, woman found shot to death in Brighton Park home, Chicago police say

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-shooting-today-brighton-park-albany-ave/

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/02/12/2-teens-arrested-after-brawl-near-bronzeville-high-school-prompts-large-police-response

We all want to know when this senseless violence shall end. What on earth did a 70-year-old do to you for you to kill him and a defenseless woman? You are nothing but a demented, souless ghoul. Your retribution will soon come by the grace of God. It's good that parents teach their kids to stand up to bullies. But, don't teach your kids to participate in school rivalries

It's Still Madness: Attempted break-in at Bensenville gas station foiled by Elmhurst police officer

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/attempted-break-in-bensenville-gas-station/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/hazmat-rideshare-package-logan-square/

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/02/10/cta-red-line-passengers-head-stomped-during-wrigleyville-robbery

What a crazy day/night for news. They may have nixed the gas station robbery but, the crooks got away. I also have a question about that second link. Why wasn't that "package" marked? And, if it was, why in the fuck did you handle it instead of calling 911? Lastly, I don't wish this on people but, one of these days/nights you asshole robbers are going to run into someone with a conceal-carry permit.

Madness Continues: Man killed in shooting on West Side of Chicago

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-killed-in-shooting-on-west-side-of-chicago/

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/02/09/boy-10-apparently-accidentally-shoots-himself-at-southwest-side-home

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/02/08/chicago-police-swat-northwest-side

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/02/08/waukegan-police-fatally-shot-man

About that last link. Where's the deescalation when the officers knew he was trying to kill himself, and not them? About the second link. How many times do I have to rant about cheap-ass parents that refuse buying trigger locks? If you have kids and guns in your house/apartment buy a fucking trigger lock so you kids can be safe.

Madness Continues: Chicago police fire shots during traffic stop on city's West Side

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-police-fire-shots-traffic-stop-west-side/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/woman-shot-critically-wounded-illinois-medical-district/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/cardiologist-on-bears-comebacks-doing-actual-damage-to-fans-hearts/

Aside from the carnage, that last link could be true for any football fan. I watched that game and my blood pressure went up and back down because they abandoned their running game. Not mentioning any particular teams but, some are well versed in pass interference, and holding. That alone will piss, and raise the blood pressure, of any home team fan off.

It's About Time Madness: Gun violence prevention leaders join advocates in Chicago to push for Responsibility in Firearm Legislation Act

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/gun-violence-prevention-responsibility-in-firearm-legislation-act/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-southwest-side-fatal-shooting/

We can only hope this legislation passes and gets signed into law. Allow me to take you on a history lesson. The Republican Party took this right away from all of us back in 2005. If you don't believe that, here's a copy and paste. "

The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLC AA) blocks legal responsibility for gun manufacturers that have failed to innovate and make guns safer, and for manufacturers, distributors, and dealers with irresponsible, reckless and negligent sales practices that contribute to the flood of illegal firearms in our communities.

Since PLC AA passed in 2005, not a single gun manufacturer accused of negligence has gone to trial. Now you know.

Madness Continues: Drive-by shooting leaves man dead on Garfield Boulevard on Chicago's South Side

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/drive-by-shooting-leaves-man-dead-garfield-boulevard-chicago/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/downers-grove-mr-submarine-burglary-police-chase/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-police-search-armed-robbers-washington-park-west-woodlawn/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-pistol-whipped-robbery-7-eleven-chicago-albany-park/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-woman-shot-wounded-chicago-mckinley-park/

What in the fuck is going on? Robbers hitting a sub shop and a 7-eleven. A group of robbers roaming around the Southside of the city. The domestic terrorist striking again, killing one and leaving a man and woman injured. Well, if you look on the bright side, the sub shop robbers got caught. I'll even lay odds they are repeat offenders. Now, it's up to the prosecutors to do their job, and make sure they stay locked up for a long time.

Madness Continues: 4 people hurt in shootings across Chicago in first weekend of new year, according to police

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-weekend-shootings-from-jan-2-to-5/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/juvenile-charged-crash-algonquin-illinois/

A new year with the same old shit happening. A stupid teen involved in a crash that let people get hurt is on the run. He'll get caught because the parents are pissed. Lastly, our domestic terrorist continue doing targeted shootings. I find it odd when they get caught, they are not charged with premeditated attempted murder. Hell, we all know those shootings are planned, never random.

It's Still Madness: Chicago sees 30% drop in homicides in 2025, with fewest murders in a year since 1965

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-murders-violent-crime-drops-2025/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/7-year-old-boy-shot-humboldt-park/

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/nw-indiana-police-investigating-after-person-found-dead-in-field/3870243/

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/woman-accused-of-setting-cribs-on-fire-sparking-major-damage-in-suburban-walmart/3870360/

I'd really like to see a much higher drop in homicides. But, when you compare it with 1965 one could say it's a much-needed improvement. On the other hand, how in the hell did a kid get shot in his own home? Let me guess. A negligent parent that refused to buy a trigger lock? As for the rest, I do hope they place that arsonist into a mental institution for life.
