Man Killed In South Shore Shooting « CBS Chicago

I guess we just have to wait on our elected officials if any legislation will get passed. Honestly, I'm not holding my breath.

They never do anything until it affects them. So if any of you are well versed in history, it has this nasty habit of repeating itself. So don't hold your breath.

McCarthy: Tougher Gun Laws Would Save Lives « CBS Chicago

McCarthy: Tougher Gun Laws Would Save Lives « CBS Chicago

After all these decades someone has finally said what I've been saying? Is it just me, or does our little click down state, or better yet elected officials, haven't lifted a finger pushing any legislation for tougher sentencing laws? Why haven't they brought forth any legislation for dealing with straw buyers? And why on this earth haven't they cleaned up our fucked up criminal justice system? How is it possible for a douche-bag to get a felony conviction for a weapons violation, serve only a few months, and is thrown back on the streets, only to go out and buy another gun, and commit another felony?

What the fuck is that all about? Fix it!

There's a reason they call it dope.

These dumb stoner's were to lazy to go home and do this, so they thought it would be a good idea to go on someones property and get high.

Now instead of a misdemeanor pot citation, the idiot has assaulting a police officer, and more charges slapped on his dumb-ass.

There's a reason they call it dope.

8 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday « CBS Chicago

8 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday « CBS Chicago

I find the last story very interesting. Here you have two "Known Gang Members", yet one is still running around the city with an illegally obtained firearm. Anyone with a brain knows they have a high probability of having multiple felony records. Yet, this douche-bag can get a weapon from a low-life scum-bag straw buyer.

Come on criminal justice system! Get your heads together and make tougher sentencing guidelines for these merchants of death.

Oh, and by the way, since the paid off Supreme Court ruled corporations are people. That sweet exemption for gun manufacturers being not responsible, is moot. They don't realize it yet, but that ruling makes them just as responsible as you and I in civil court. And the great part, congress can't do shit about it. If they try and change the exemption for corporations, who are now people,, it will be ruled unconstitutional, because it has to cover ALL People, not a select few. That's called discrimination.

So law abiding citizens unite and sue the shit out of gun makers, and straw buyers.

Five Shot Across City Since Thursday Afternoon « CBS Chicago

As you know the sheriff is cracking down on people with revoked gun cards, but what about the terrorist that went on this rampage?

We know they obtain their weaponry from straw buyers. So the question is, when are you and all law enforcement agencies going to launch a full scale offensive on the buyers?

Just asking.

Humans? These Are Monsters

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-chicago-shooting-violence-20130724,0,7254991.story?track=rss

Well folks this isn't just random acts of violence. This is simply, insanity.

So they roll out the "we will be watching you program", and yet fail to address how these murderous monsters keep getting these weapons. When they do catch some of these ghouls, they slide them back on the streets within months.

I'm starting to get a strange feeling that they hold non-violent offenders longer then these murderous ghouls. Correct me if my instinct is wrong. Show me a statistic. This is simply, insanity.

And on the northside of town, another dead, and another hurt. That brings the tally to a total of four so far. And the day isn't over.

One could go on, and on as far as what can be done. But face it folks, our politicians have heard us, and still act like nothing is wrong. I think it's time to vote them out, and get some pro-active leaders in office.

It's time for all of us to sign up for voter registration, and flex our muscle at the ballot box.

2 Dead, 7 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday Night « CBS Chicago

So much for "knocking on doors, and warning potential shooters."

Like I've stated before, what about the jerks out there now with illegally obtained firearms? What about the ignorant idiots buying the firearms, and giving it to these terrorist? When are you going to pass serious legislation dealing with these two problems?

Ask yourself, how many of these terrorist have prior felonies, on probation, and or parole, and are walking the streets? Why did you cut their sentence in half, or no jail time at all? Fix that, and you will begin seeing actual declines in these horrific numbers that include innocent, young children.

Oh wait, I get it. She wasn't White so you don't care. That's why you are not dealing with those two problems. Yet.

Eight Wounded In Citywide Gun Violence « CBS Chicago

Eight Wounded In Citywide Gun Violence « CBS Chicago

Another headline has the Mayor "expecting police overtime to drop...". Not with crap like this going on.

Here's the kick in the nut-sack for you. In one shooting, you had a bunch of mini-terrorist just standing on a street corner. The problem the police will encounter, is violating that constitutional right of assembly, by telling them to vacate the area. The only tool police can use in such situations, is knowledge of two or more in the group, that have a parole, or probation sentence. If that's the case, known offenders cannot assemble, because they would be in violation of parole, or probation. Which begs the question, where were the police when this assembly took place? Another question one might ask, are there cameras in that area? And if not, why not?

So if you move your lips expecting overtime to drop, how did you miss that particular group of mini-terrorist?

Irony Is A Bitch

Being Green
Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to the much older woman, that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.
The woman apologized and explained, "We didn't have this 'green thing' back in my earlier days."
The young clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations."

She was right -- our generation didn't have the 'green thing' in our day.

Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over.
So they really were recycled.

But we didn't have the "green thing" back in our day.

Grocery stores bagged our groceries in brown paper bags, that we reused for numerous things, most memorable besides household garbage bags, was the use of brown paper bags as book covers for our schoolbooks. This was to ensure that public property, (the books provided for our use by the school) was not defaced by our scribblings. Then we were able to personalize our books on the brown paper bags.

But too bad we didn't do the "green thing" back then.

We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.

But she was right. We didn't have the "green thing" in our day.

Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throwaway kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy-gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry our clothes back in our early days. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that young lady is right; we didn't have the "green thing" back in our day.

Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana.
In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used wadded up old newspapers to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But she's right; we didn't have the "green thing" back then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But we didn't have the "green thing" back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service in the family's $45,000 SUV or van, which cost what a whole house did before the "green thing." We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 23,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest burger joint.

But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the "green thing" back then?

Please forward this on to another selfish old person who needs a lesson in conservation from a smart-ass young person...

We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off...especially from a tattooed, multiple pierced smart-ass who can't make change without the cash register telling them how much.

The police would have a field day clearing the streets of scum-bags. Hey! It's only a hypothetical. I'm fully aware people have nighttime jobs. Yet, one can still dream right?

2 Dead, 2 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday Night « CBS Chicago

White lawmakers, and the gun lobby think by passing conceal carry legislation will make you safer. It doesn't. All it does is dig further into your pocket.

When you read how the first person was killed, the shooter was carrying a concealed weapon, and didn't even have a permit. How does that make you safer? It doesn't. All it does is make you fork over 150 bucks, and God knows how much the classes will rake you over the coals. That isn't gun safety legislation. It's a rob not very bright people legislation. Voters should wise up and demand gun safety legislation, not smoke and mirrors.

Will the first person that gets his, or her conceal carry permit go to Englewood, or Humboldt Park? NOPE! But that is the reason the gun lobby paid off your politicians to mislead you into thinking this shitty legislation will make you safe. Can you hear the boob now? I have a permit, now I'm safe to go anywhere. Really? Go there. Watch how much money you spent work out.

Dart Slams 30-Day Deadline For Concealed Carry Background Checks « CBS Chicago

I'm so glad the governor slashed these ignorant, lazy lawmakers pay. If you are going to pass any legislation, you need to know if a system is in-place, that can accommodate the mad rush of gun crazed, blood thirsty people.

You see folks, these "legislators" don't write legislation anymore. They just follow what their masters put on paper. You know, entities such as the NRA, IRA, Banks, Wall Street, and the cabal known as ALEC, which in essence, is collection of all that is evil. These are the ones forcing them to enact unconstitutional abortion, civil rights, and voting laws. They are also making them weaken environmental laws, so they can poison, and make drinking water catch fire. Look, if you don't believe me, just ask yourself; what kind of a  heartless ghoul, would build an explosives factory near a school, and elder care home?

You get the picture now? How many people will slip through the cracks with a "Do this in 30 days law"? You do know they will have to increase taxes just to staff such a thing? They will also have to increase taxes to buy the equipment. I wonder how much will all that cost us? But hey, look on the bright side. Criminals, and terrorist don't have to worry about it.

So the blood-thirsty NRA, IRA thinks concealed carry will stop this? Never fall for their false argument folks. These groups don't think, they just hate. The criminals, and terrorist will not apply for this idiotic law. They will not pay for the permit, nor the training classes. You will, with the false hope of thinking you are safer.

All of the people that will apply for this permit, will never be caught dead walking around these "Hot Spots". They will as always, wind up killing, or maiming a family member.

Oh well. So much for thinking you are safer.

Sentencing Guidelines Reform Anyone?

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/15-Shot-As-Holiday-Weekend-Begins-214275491.html

Hey, you find it so easy passing crap laws. How about some real legislation that will make criminals, and potential criminals think twice? I mean after-all you just put them back on the streets even when they have committed multiple felonies, so why not do something constructive since your taking our money for nothing?

You need to get together and really fix the sentencing guidelines. Just look at them. They are a complete joke. Why do you think these terrorist keep shooting up the night and day? They know the system is a joke. Look, raising the price of bullets obviously didn't work. Hiring UN-armed civilians to patrol "Safe School Zones" is a major brain fart. What are you going to d? Make the people that sign up for those jobs sign a waiver not too sue?

Your problem is in the sentencing guidelines. Illegal purchase, and use of a firearm should be a automatic 10 year hitch with no parole. And should a murder be committed with such an illegally obtained weapon, life in prison folks. See, that wasn't so time consuming, and it's common-sense legislation. Hell, I'd like to see the gun lobby oppose that. So come on legislature. You might as well do something constructive, since your taking our money for nothing.

Bout Time

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/clout/chi-quinn-writes-stricter-rules-into-concealed-carry-bill-20130702,0,7934500.story

Finally a politician with stones. While reading the article, the author mentioned lawmakers in the assembly being "Wary" of changes in their reckless legislation. Yeah, they should be "Wary". Idiots can't come together and fix the pension mess they, union, and bankers created via raiding hard working public employees savings.

Although no single legislation is perfect, I would again stress the overall need for sentencing guideline reform. How many times must one repeat, criminals don't give a rat's butt about the law? Once sentencing guidelines are reformed with stricter penalty's, hopefully straw buyers and the terrorist they sell such weapons too will finally get the big picture.

That's what these tools down state need to address.
