Okay, if this happens without our Mayor reading, and seeing what happened to other city's, suburbs, towns, and villages went through, we are in big trouble.

That old saying comes to mind of "those that do not learn from history" applies here. You have people running around saying "government-run institutions are socialism", but what do you call greedy corporations? The same people that call for a "Free-Market System" never admit this concept is a very bad idea for consumers. Mayor Daley should take heed of what happened to other towns when they thought "privatization" was a good idea. Hell, he can even look at his disastrous experiments with this concept when he destroyed "parking as we know it".

Sure this is a "trail-balloon". You would want feedback on such idiotic ideas of this magnitude. Let me pull out my crystal ball and tell everyone what would happen if he went through with this. Water Bills will skyrocket. There, enough said. Even though I could go on and on about how they (private companies) will even cut back on treating the water. Other than that, if the Mayor thinks this will help a cash-strapped city, well folks, start digging wells.
