The headline says it all.

Since these guys, and gals can't agree on a workable solution, just over burden an already over burdened civil court system.

Illinois House OKs electric increase, veto possible - Chicago Sun-Times

Stunning, isn't it?

They bow to their overlord ComEd, yet at the same time reject an overhaul of the "workers comp system". Talk about messed up priority's.

Yep, simply stunning isn't it?

Governor, attorney general fight ComEd legislation - Chicago Sun-Times

Governor, attorney general fight ComEd legislation - Chicago Sun-Times

In all honesty, ComEd can justify this "Bill" by telling the truth. They just want to put the boots on the necks of consumers so they can continue living high off the hog.

If they scream this would put them out of business, good riddance. Yes folks, let them go out of business, and let the State take it over. Yeah I hear murmurs of "that's socialist philosophy". So what. What have they done for the people of Illinois besides screw them time, after time? This company, and any other utility, just isn't "TOO Big To Fail". Their rampant greed will be their undoing, so let them fail, pack their bags, and find some other chump State that will allow them to continue fleecing consumers.

In essence, it's all a domino effect. Take Vermont for instance. Health care cost spiral out of control because of the greed of insurance companies. Vermont said (Paraphrasing here) "Enough, let's look out for the people, and solve this on our own." An approach such as that will make other companies, no matter the product, think twice about screwing over consumers. People in other States elected GOP governors, and State assemblies in record numbers last year, much to their shock at how they boot-lick companies into giving tax break, after tax break. Only to see these very same companies/utilities jack up prices on consumers after picking their wallets, and purses clean with ZERO accountability. The people in this country are not asleep. They will see what's going on in Vermont, and the battle here in Illinois with such companies, and demand those newly elected GOP governors, and State assemblies follow such examples, or be VOTED out of office.

The people of this country does not ask for anything but a fair shake. When rampant greed denies them that fair shake, they know what to do about it, they vote. ComEd isn't "Too Big To Fail". They can, and should if their only agenda is fleecing consumers.

Hey Governor Quinn, follow Vermont on the Health care blueprint.

Ex-DuPage official got 2 preferential deals from former board colleagues

This Must Stop!

Stop doing this to the people YOU swore an oath to protect, and defend. This "No Bid" process is nothing more than a slap in the face of consumers/taxpayers. Its only purpose is to enrich buddies.

Stop this.

CPS says Brizard's salary in line with other large districts

CPS says Brizard's salary in line with other large districts

Damn shame when they make feeble attempts at justifying this.

What about the two vehicles? What about all those school supplies, and furniture you have stockpiled in warehouses in the city and suburbs? As far as I'm concerned, you are much worse at your jobs when it comes to responsibility, and accountability. One would think an occupation in education may have some type of critical thinking involved.

I'm hip to your scam on the school supplies, and furniture. We, the taxpayers have our funds placed into various government budgets. You have X amount of days to spend your part of the funds. So you spend it, and come back and ask for more. Meanwhile, what you spent it on, if not used, or better yet, put to use, in the case of furniture, it gets sent back to the supplier for crushing. And don't get me started on all that coffee, sugar, and other non-essential bulk products you have just sitting in warehouses.

I figure two hundred and fifty grand is more than enough for this guy to buy his own vehicle. Don't you?

Outgoing CPS board OK's Brizard's appointment

Outgoing CPS board OK's Brizard's appointment

Wow! Talk about hypocrisy!

In this day and age of "Budget Deficits" and cuts, one has to think for anyone to even consider giving away two hundred and fifty grand, is pretty idiotic. I'm guessing this guy will also get two vehicle's on the taxpayer dime? All this yammering about personal responsibility must start somewhere. Getting rid of the two vehicle perk is a start.

We the people have allowed these salary hikes to go on without any consultation from us, the taxpayer. It is only when someone does some in-depth reporting, are we only made aware of the rip-offs these people are getting away with. If this guy holds out for more money, I don't want to see, or hear about any elected official speak on cutting one teacher's pay, hours, or expanding a classroom.

Personal responsibility has to start somewhere. Not on the backs of the tax paying citizens for two vehicle perks.

Wisconsin governor signs controversial voter ID law

What's next?

Jim Crow, check. Poll Tax, check. Back to the cotton fields, keep voting for them, it'll happen. 3/5 citizenship, keep voting for them, it'll happen. Now you get to see what people, a great majority of people have known for decades.

If you want a great, and progressive country, don't ever vote against your interest by electing puppets for the rich. They simply don't care about you.

Never Vote GOP. They will do anything under the sun to strip you of your rights, and dignity.

ComEd rate hike to cost customers about $3.15 a month

ComEd rate hike to cost customers about $3.15 a month

The Fleecing of consumers continues.

These guys sit back and give themselves pay raises, golden parachutes, and any other lavish perk they can think of, while at the same time slashing workers hours. How on earth can the ICC ever justify giving in to them? Just see who on the committee gets a new job. That will tell you how they stabbed consumers in the back.

They don't, and never will care about us the consumer. ComEd has no earthly reason for jacking up consumers rates, when they themselves lavish such wealth upon them, and continue giving miniscule hours to those that are actually doing any real work. We know why they want these "Smart Grids", it's so that the meter reader will become a thing of the past. That's one more paycheck the brass can stuff in their pockets.

If only the state would get wise and open up their own power, and gas plants, things of this fleecing nature will become a thing of the past.

Poll: Americans don't believe Medicare has to be cut

Well this certainly is a no-brainer.

The GOP/Baggers just want to raid these two programs and enrich the already rich. Yes folks, it's as simple as that. They want to pillage these programs, and give all, and any future funds to their already wealthy friends.

CEOs enjoy big payoffs in 2010 - Chicago Sun-Times

CEOs enjoy big payoffs in 2010 - Chicago Sun-Times

Well this really isn't such a shock for anyone. I have no problem with anyone making money. But what irks the hell out of me is the fact that these are the very same people suppressing wages, hiring illegals, and shipping jobs overseas.

If that isn't bad enough, they storm our state, and city governments demanding tax cuts, while reaping the benefits of slashing worker wages. Yet they remain clueless about why people are extremely pissed at them. Here's why. All any working person wants, is a fair shake, which translates into a decent wage. With a decent wage, they can take care of their families, pay their bills, buy a home (and not in your gated community's), and just live a life of dignity, and respect.

Last time I checked, slavery was abolished in this country. Yet you big wigs refuse to let that horrendous concept go. You hire illegals for exploitation to enrich yourselves, and suppress Americans that are only asking for fairness. So stop demanding from our legislators for tax breaks when you stuff your pockets full of cash, and refuse to pay your fair share.

No person came shame you into acting responsible, because you clearly have no shame from your ever increasing hostility, and arrogance toward your fellow Americans.

I know this is just a joke, but this bit of information may possibly be a little late.

Emanuel says he’s cutting $75 million from Daley’s budget - Chicago Sun-Times

I hope he sends that blueprint down State.

If you haven't heard, those clowns down State voted themselves a pay raise, and then turned around and threw "Furlough" days in the mix. That was done just to make them appear like they were doing something smart. No! That was simply being slick. You don't deserve a pay raise. You need to stop paying yourselves for sitting on different committees. If your base salary isn't good enough, don't run for office.

Stop fleecing the people, roll up your sleeves, take a pay-cut, and act like responsible adults for once.

Supreme Court gives police a new entryway into homes

Supreme Court gives police a new entryway into homes

I'm sorry, but there is just so much that can go wrong with this ruling, it makes you wonder how out of touch these justices really are.

Some situations and circumstances must be thought through. This ruling truly appears that was not a top consideration. As I tweeted earlier, what if they were deaf? Or even better, what if they (Law Enforcement) received bogus information, and stormed the wrong home? It has happened before, and will happen again. What do you do about that?

I for one can tell you this ruling will open the proverbial floodgates of lawsuits. Mistakes can, and do happen. Now with this ruling, law enforcement has an extra burden placed upon them.

They had better be 100% sure they have the right place.

Thank you so much Supreme Court for not thinking this very bad ruling through.

Madigan: Workers’ comp system ‘ought to be changed’ - Chicago Sun-Times

Madigan: Workers’ comp system ‘ought to be changed’ - Chicago Sun-Times

Wait a second. Since when did any "worker" get any compensation for an injury not directly related to their employment?

This little sentence in the article struck me as very unusual: "Quinn’s plan could save businesses around $500 million, but the major stalemate is over a requirement that a worker could not be compensated for an injury not directly related to the job."

Last time I checked, no worker ever received compensation for an injury that was not "JOB RELATED". When did that little gem slip into law? And whomever slipped it in should be voted out, or fired.

An un-Common culture war

An un-Common culture war

Love this column.

It simply exposes the hypocrites for what they truly are. Yes folks, fake Christians. These people are nothing more than Satan's minions. They have no soul, nor conscious spirit. It is this emptiness within that demonstrates their lack of credibility on a majority of subjects. For those that do watch these hypocrites, why subject yourselves to such negativity? By viewing these hypocrites espouse such disdain, and hatred, makes the adage "Misery Loves Company", ring true.

This open contempt, and hatred for no other sane reason is simply asinine. Why view, associate, or even listen to such hatred? Is it only because "Misery Loves Company"? It certainly appears to be the case.

On another subject. Why are certain "Conservative/Christian groups demanding that the photos of that vile bin Laden be released? Are they so far in the Stone-Age that they fail to realize that children, and teens have greater access to information, and images now than ever before? Such ghoulishness, and blood-lust these Fake Christians display when they care not for exposing children to such a sight. Yet the minute such pictures of this nature are released, they coil in horror, and demand such things be taken down, or banned. Hypocrisy in its finest form. This is exactly what the Fake Christian stands for.

This is the reason why I love this column. It truly exposes them for what they truly are. Hypocrites, adulterers, lairs, and blood-thirsty ghoulish minions of Satan.

Oh my bad, they don't work for the people, they work for corporations.

Well this just proves ignorance reaches into our judicial system as well.

We have Roe v Wade, and the Hyde amendment yet these oppressors of women's health thinks that's not enough. As I'm sitting here, that old saying is in the back of my mind. Karma is a bitch, and what goes around, comes around. This is unprecedented ignorance. These people make the Taliban theology look tame by comparison.

Chicago to get high-speed trains from federal rail grants - Chicago Sun-Times

Chicago to get high-speed trains from federal rail grants - Chicago Sun-Times

Finally some good news for a change.

It's about time this State stepped into the 21st century, although you have to admit, Japan, China, and other European countries have been kicking our collective posteriors in this area for decades.

And this article is correct on all of us thanking that newly elected Boob down in Florida for making this possible. Just look at all those jobs that State kissed goodbye, and we will pick up. I'm very sure the constituents down there, are none pleased.

Hey Florida? How's that drug test for anything working out for you? I have to admit, you people must have been high on something to ever elect a guy that had to pay Millions in fines for defrauding Medicare.

Oh, if you have anymore projects your Governor feels will not create any jobs, feel free to send the smarter states that Federal Money also.

Thanks Asses.

Quinn says he will oppose concealed carry

Talk about utter contempt for the People of Illinois. This NRA Lobbyist is the ultimate bag of garbage. Check this quote out: "Pat Quinn can talk a good game about being for the little guy or the working stiffs," Vandermyde said.

I am all for the Second Amendment, and I don't need scum like this pushing a dangerous agenda such as this, on our lawmakers. This guy does not, and will not ever speak for me when insulting us voters. If anything, an "OPEN Carry" law is a much better option rather than a "Concealed" option. That way, our law enforcement officials know what they are dealing with. Once again the NRA shows its contempt for the people of Illinois with insults, and crippling our law enforcement officials from doing there job.

Working stiffs huh? In layman's terms, my response is a simple FUCK YOU.

Teens face jobless summer

Teens face jobless summer

Once again voters, you can thank the GOP/Corporatist Party for this debacle.

The one thing parents all over this country must have, is a teenage son or daughter working, and learning about responsibility. Once again you have failed voters that thought, you had their best interest at heart. You don't. All you care about is appeasing your corporate overlords.

These kids need jobs for keeping them occupied during a long hot summer. The parents need comfort in knowing that their children are learning valuable lessons in responsibility, and financial management. Do you politicians even know how much video games are costing these parents? Cut the oil and gas subsidies, end the tax cuts for the wealthy making over $250,000, and let these kids get out of their parents homes, and apartments and work.
