Popular Chicago Police Commander To Stand Trial On Brutality Allegations « CBS Chicago
Let me see if I got this right. You've had this problem since 1999, and waited till 2015 to do something about it? The first lawsuit should have been a red flag.
Yet, we have been dealing with this code of silence for decades. I wonder if police departments do really have an "Internal Affairs Division"? I've heard of a "Review Board" when officers discharge their weapons. But, it appears they have zero disciplinary duties. Why? When your government, city, suburban, or even state settles lawsuits, there's a major red flag happening. Stop turning a blinds eye, break the code of silence, and get rid of the bad apples.
