Madness Continues: 2 in custody after shots fired during attempted armed robbery in Belmont Cragin

Is it just me, or are the police are back at doing their job since those assclowns left? They are capturing US criminals and sending them to be tried by a jury of their peers, if by chance an illegal criminal is captured, they have them deported.

Madness Continues: Man stabbed on CTA Green Line train in Austin

https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/01/23/man-stabbed-on-cta-green-line-train-in-austin

https://chicago.suntimes.com/transportation/2026/01/22/cta-crime-police-officer-transit-rider-interaction-program

Well, if the two links are not an irony alert, I'm speechless. Apparently, they forgot placing police on the green line. Or, could it be that the majority of those riders are people of color? We may never know.

 https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/1-person-dead-multiple-others-122308801.html

Another mass shooting with no surprise in this country. Here's the kick in the ass. Do you notice there's no collective outrage from the public and religious leaders of all faiths?

Madness Continues: Driver killed, kids taken to hospital as car hits school bus near Manhattan, Illinois

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/school-bus-crash-manhattan-illinois/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-morgan-park-fatal-shooting/

I saw the front of that bus, and it was gone. There was nothing but the engine left. So far, the kids are fine, maybe a little banged up. As for the rest, the domestic terrorist strike again.

Madness Continues: Chicago police fire shots during traffic stop on city's West Side

Aside from the carnage, that last link could be true for any football fan. I watched that game and my blood pressure went up and back down because they abandoned their running game. Not mentioning any particular teams but, some are well versed in pass interference, and holding. That alone will piss, and raise the blood pressure, of any home team fan off.

It's About Time Madness: Gun violence prevention leaders join advocates in Chicago to push for Responsibility in Firearm Legislation Act

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/gun-violence-prevention-responsibility-in-firearm-legislation-act/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-southwest-side-fatal-shooting/

We can only hope this legislation passes and gets signed into law. Allow me to take you on a history lesson. The Republican Party took this right away from all of us back in 2005. If you don't believe that, here's a copy and paste. "

The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLC AA) blocks legal responsibility for gun manufacturers that have failed to innovate and make guns safer, and for manufacturers, distributors, and dealers with irresponsible, reckless and negligent sales practices that contribute to the flood of illegal firearms in our communities.

Since PLC AA passed in 2005, not a single gun manufacturer accused of negligence has gone to trial. Now you know.

Madness Continues: Drive-by shooting leaves man dead on Garfield Boulevard on Chicago's South Side

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/man-woman-shot-wounded-chicago-mckinley-park/

What in the fuck is going on? Robbers hitting a sub shop and a 7-eleven. A group of robbers roaming around the Southside of the city. The domestic terrorist striking again, killing one and leaving a man and woman injured. Well, if you look on the bright side, the sub shop robbers got caught. I'll even lay odds they are repeat offenders. Now, it's up to the prosecutors to do their job, and make sure they stay locked up for a long time.

Madness Continues: 4 people hurt in shootings across Chicago in first weekend of new year, according to police

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-weekend-shootings-from-jan-2-to-5/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/juvenile-charged-crash-algonquin-illinois/

A new year with the same old shit happening. A stupid teen involved in a crash that let people get hurt is on the run. He'll get caught because the parents are pissed. Lastly, our domestic terrorist continue doing targeted shootings. I find it odd when they get caught, they are not charged with premeditated attempted murder. Hell, we all know those shootings are planned, never random.

It's Still Madness: Chicago sees 30% drop in homicides in 2025, with fewest murders in a year since 1965

 https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/chicago-murders-violent-crime-drops-2025/

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/7-year-old-boy-shot-humboldt-park/

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/nw-indiana-police-investigating-after-person-found-dead-in-field/3870243/

https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/woman-accused-of-setting-cribs-on-fire-sparking-major-damage-in-suburban-walmart/3870360/

I'd really like to see a much higher drop in homicides. But, when you compare it with 1965 one could say it's a much-needed improvement. On the other hand, how in the hell did a kid get shot in his own home? Let me guess. A negligent parent that refused to buy a trigger lock? As for the rest, I do hope they place that arsonist into a mental institution for life.
