The GOP answer for everything. Sell it and let these companies screw the people over. Senator Kirk. PARKING METERS! I could go on with a list of other very bad ideas that come out of your cabal's camp, but why bother? Your party never learns from history. The GOP track record proves it. You and your party are complete failures when it comes to Equal Rights for all, Working Families, Teachers, Fire, Law Enforcement, Doctors, Nurses, and a Women's Right To Choose. The only thing you and your party is very successful at, is letting your corporate overlords continue enriching themselves, and not your constituents day to day lives.

If your so-called plan ever happens, cities and states will be in far worse shape budget wise, then they are now. It's simple math, try doing it from time to time. If privatization is done, you can expect low wages, and practically no health care. Selling off city and state public services is never a good idea. If the cities and states wanted too, all they have to do is raise fares modestly over time. Taxpayers can handle the truth. Not slick under-handed tactics to make the wealthy laugh at us all the way to their golden toilets.

Of all the dumbest ideas, this is beyond dumb.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-46858567317553625322011-06-19T13:03:00.002-05:002011-06-19T13:07:50.095-05:002011-06-19T13:07:50.095-05:00Cash-hungry mayors glad to have Rahm Emanuel in their ranks - Chicago Sun-TimesCash-hungry mayors glad to have Rahm Emanuel in their ranks - Chicago Sun-Times

I like the idea of an "Infrastructure Bank".

What I'm not fond of, is idea of private company contracts. We've all seen how some of these operate. So if the idea gains any momentum, certain conditions have to be met, and by any means, the infamous "No Bid" process should not have a role. That's how "cronies' screw the people over. Never forget about that Parking Meter fiasco. All the city needed to do, was just increase rates on their own, and re-invest any profits into the city.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-52038980173116134202011-06-18T13:44:00.001-05:002011-06-18T13:45:31.021-05:002011-06-18T13:45:31.021-05:00Preckwinkle says war on drugs a failurePreckwinkle says war on drugs a failure

She's right.

Look, decriminalize pot, and treat it the same way we do booze. You can't (some do) come too work drunk, so you also can't come too work under the influence of pot. Simple isn't it? Come too work smelling like booze, you lost your job. The same standard should be in effect for weed.

Wake up law-makers. Legalize pot, and tax the hell out of it like booze, and smokes. WTF is taking you so long?

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-52219683027697610922011-06-17T13:40:00.001-05:002011-06-17T13:45:17.089-05:002011-06-17T13:45:17.089-05:00Study: Medicaid kids suffer bias in getting treatment - Chicago Sun-TimesStudy: Medicaid kids suffer bias in getting treatment - Chicago Sun-Times

No surprise here.

Let's face facts. These kids, and their families are poor. The state's take forever paying these physicians, and hospitals. The current system needs revamping with less red-tape. This is the "Digital-Age". So come on administrators, update your equipment so you can become more efficient in getting these physicians, and hospitals paid after treating these kids.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-15119522549388573202011-06-16T13:50:00.001-05:002011-06-16T13:51:17.686-05:002011-06-16T13:51:17.686-05:00Study: 83 percent of Chicago arrestees test positive for drugs - Chicago Sun-TimesStudy: 83 percent of Chicago arrestees test positive for drugs - Chicago Sun-Times

Well I'm not the least bit stunned.

This study should also note, that this is another factor for unemployment rates across the country. Many of these users cannot, or just will not quit. Those that do try, may still have the drugs in their system, and can't pass the test when seeking employment. So it is once again that I advocate for our legislators to decriminalize marijuana. Everyone that is informed knows why marijuana was made illegal back in 1936. It was bogus misinformation then, and still is today.

Legalize pot. Tax the crap out of it just like you do cigarettes, and booze. And make sure it is treated the same as driving under the influence, or showing up for work under the influence. There, budgets and problems solved.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-33208265653541213632011-06-15T13:44:00.001-05:002011-06-15T13:44:19.549-05:002011-06-15T13:44:19.549-05:00CPS board rescinds 4% teacher raisesCPS board rescinds 4% teacher raises
This guy was, and is, a major waste of the people of Illinois vote.

The only reason he won was because he jumped on the "Fear Wagon", and spooked the voters that fell for that big fat "ObamaCare" lie. The GOP promised jobs. Not one piece of legislation. If Kirk is so great, why has he not come up with one piece of jobs legislation? Why is he holding "so-called" town halls and not showing what he has put forward for getting the people of Illinois back too work? Did he vote for the Paul Ryan budget that will eliminate Medicare as we know it? Yes he did.

What a major waste of a vote. Don't fall for it again Illinois.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-91026564097055277232011-06-13T15:01:00.001-05:002011-06-13T15:01:23.732-05:002011-06-13T15:01:23.732-05:00City and county plan to merge services to save money - Chicago Sun-TimesCity and county plan to merge services to save money - Chicago Sun-Times

Like it or not, it's head cracking time.

As summer slowly approaches, the simple minded criminals come out in droves to display just how stupid they truly are. Think back when I wrote about the cameras going up throughout main intersections, and neighborhoods. I mentioned that this was only the beginning of major crackdowns. The idiotic criminal didn't think such technology would have such an impact on their activities. Well, they as usual, were wrong. I also mentioned back then about the new police department down the block from where I live, and how quickly they respond to these criminals just wasting their lives away on dumb-shit.

Each, and nearly every day, these morons stand at the edge of the alley on Parkside off Madison Street, trying to determine when the cops are coming. Yes folks, that is how dumb they really are. They don't have the mental capacity to understand that the police are not only watching them, but listening also. And that my friends is when the head cracking begins. They wait patiently until they have enough evidence, and pounce on these dimly lit bulbs in one giant swoop.

This could all come to an end if only our elected leaders decriminalize marijuana, and enact longer sentences for gun violations and shootings. That's the common sense approach for our elected leaders.

Other than that folks, prepare for another summer of head cracking time. Go get them officers.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-91577503465161426382011-06-11T14:54:00.001-05:002011-06-11T14:55:28.677-05:002011-06-11T14:55:28.677-05:002 held after seizure of 800 pounds of marijuana2 held after seizure of 800 pounds of marijuana
Will you legislators just go ahead and legalize this weed? Think of the revenue this will bring to your budgets.

Reading articles such as this, it's no wonder taxpayers have just flat out had enough.

For starters, all these head honcho's have salaries in the six digit atmosphere. So the question is, why in the hell would you supply them with "Credit Cards" in the first place? I've heard the excuse. It's for carrying out city, county, village, state, and federal business. Bull! It's nothing more than a test of honesty. And in each and every case, they fail. If you are taking someone too lunch, pay for it out of your own pocket, and stop writing the crap off as a business expense. That portion of the tax law should be abolished for everyone, civilian, and government. It's just a cheapskate way of dodging fiscal responsibility.

Giving credit cards too honcho's and their staff is just like giving a criminal the keys too the jail. It will never work as we see by this article. What this story does inform me of, is that our past Mayor was way too trusting, or just ignorant of the fact there was something shady going on. Last time I checked, didn't we have an "Inspector General" that was hired to look into crap such as this? And by the way, what about the "Inspector General" our aldermen, and women "Appointed" for themselves? Do they also have credit cards for themselves, and staff? How many flowers, and lunches, and dinners have we the people paid for?

Stop it all, and pay out of your own pockets. Enough of the ripoffs. Now you know why we have an attitude when we speak with you. No matter how hard we hope you will do the right thing, your greed always gets in the way.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-31255777021243074292011-06-09T11:30:00.001-05:002011-06-09T11:30:21.881-05:002011-06-09T11:30:21.881-05:00Fuck OPEC!This is one of the things that really piss me off on how fucking dumb/ill-informed many Americans truly are. Every American with an entire brain knows we bury Millions of barrels of oil each day in the Gulf of Mexico. That's are so-called "Strategic Oil Reserve". Canada, and Mexico are our biggest importers, and it's those sleazy Speculators here, in this country that are driving up oil prices in this country. Yet, these ill-informed fucks cry when gas goes up. Try living in Britain, and other countries in Europe where they pay out the ass. This week marks the 44th anniversary of the 1967 Six Day War. Before the war, Israel's future hung in the balance. After it, Israel began to plan for a more long-term secure future as a pro-western democracy allied to the United States.

Recently, Washington was confronted with a new debate. After backing Israel's security needs for decades, the Administration called on Israel to fall back to its pre-1967 lines "with swaps" with the Palestinian Authority. This happened in the same month that the Palestinian Fatah leaders announced a coalition government with Hamas, a terrorist organization. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu disagreed and said we should not sacrifice Israel's security in the creation of a new Palestinian state.

I would like to hear from you on this issue.

What do you think?

Q. Should the United States pressure Israel to fall back to its pre-1967 lines?

Yes

Let me see if I have this right. To be a "Fiscal Conservative" means to waste, or lose billions on "Theological Suggestions".

Yeah, that sounds about right. I have never seen a group of people with so much disdain for women, working families, and the poor in all my years on earth. Here we have the GOP battle cry of "Small Government", yet from their actions, we are witnessing the biggest intrusion of government on the lives of people from state to state where the GOP has control. From my perspective, at the very least, when the other side talks about assisting the people, they do it. The GOP on the other hand, is nothing more than a walking, talking contradiction. In other words, expect the opposite, or just veiled bigotry. They are professionals at that.

When they (GOP) talk about jobs, you can bet you will be on the losing end, as they ship them overseas. The same goes for health care, and oh yes folks, Small Business. For the GOP, health care? Tough luck. Small Business? Same rules apply. When you look back at the 2010 elections, the GOP sold the people a rusty old bridge with all the lies they spread about the health care bill, which in my opinion didn't go far enough, as they tricked voters into letting them re-gain power in the house. Now look at all of them sucking up tax-payer funded health care.

Well, the only thing I can suggest, is for all the "rational" states too take all that money these clowns wish to waste, just like the "High Speed Rail Funds", and use it for providing better health care funding. It's the only sensible thing that can be done.

People please wake up and never, ever vote GOP again. They are nothing more than a Theocracy wrapped in corporate linen.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-56653156189236303062011-06-05T14:38:00.001-05:002011-06-05T14:39:48.781-05:002011-06-05T14:39:48.781-05:00Push is on for Chicago casino, but boost to economy in questionPush is on for Chicago casino, but boost to economy in question

Boy this really is a tough call.

The only thing I could hope for, is that they do put it downtown. I have to sit on the fence with this type of revenue source because it can cause problems for those with a gambling addiction. As with the Governor, it is my hope downtown Chicago doesn't turn into Vegas. Not that there's anything wrong with Vegas, except prostitution, alcohol, and substance abuse.

I do hope they would set aside some of the revenue for setting up a health care system like Vermont is doing. Doing such would ease many fears, and not make this such a tough call.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-68086267076807762482011-06-04T16:28:00.001-05:002011-06-04T16:39:54.925-05:002011-06-04T16:39:54.925-05:004 dead, 12 wounded in overnight shootings4 dead, 12 wounded in overnight shootings

What say you NRA?

Even though you think it's okay, to lobby the hell out of our legislators, putting more weapons in the hands of citizens without background checks, mental evaluations, and any other asinine idea you can think of, just to ensure law enforcement is crippled in combating these senseless shootings. Well, like I've stated before, I'm all for the Second Amendment. Yet we really need to have a serious set of laws on the books with COMMON SENSE gun ownership rules.

I ask you NRA, what is so wrong with having common sense laws on the books? Why at every turn you stick your nose, and money in our legislators pockets when they make an attempt at dealing with all these senseless shooting by people that in no way, shape, or form should have better access to guns than the average law-abiding citizen? Why haven't I heard anything from you about that?

Should any elected official should happen to come by this posting, please do me a giant favor. Enact "LIFE IN PRISON" for any criminal convicted of shooting another human being. That's the only way these gang-bangers will stop. Once they know they will never be free on our streets ever again, they just may think twice about grabbing an ill-gotten gun.

What say you NRA? Is this something we can agree on?

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-31541546953545951262011-06-03T12:22:00.001-05:002011-06-03T12:23:23.310-05:002011-06-03T12:23:23.310-05:00Americans still avoiding doctors, insurers sayAmericans still avoiding doctors, insurers say

Boy they really are putting a lot of polish on this ....

This may be all fine and good, but it still hasn't answered if he's getting two (2) vehicles on the taxpayers like old Hubby. Can you hear those crickets? Not a peep on the perks. Will the new guy get two vehicles compliments of us? This really is a no-brainer. If you run around and scream cut, cut, cut, how about showing some leadership? Knock off the perks for these people when you pay them enough to buy their OWN vehicles.

Keep on polishing until you show some leadership.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-61464901108634670142011-06-01T15:43:00.001-05:002011-06-01T15:44:17.540-05:002011-06-01T15:44:17.540-05:00School consolidation bill heads to QuinnSchool consolidation bill heads to Quinn
From my perspective, this appears like some very good legislation.

Parental input is of the greatest importance when our "Public Schools" are involved. For those that have the luxury of sending their kids too private school institutions, disregard this article.
Stunning, isn't it?

In all honesty, ComEd can justify this "Bill" by telling the truth. They just want to put the boots on the necks of consumers so they can continue living high off the hog.

If they scream this would put them out of business, good riddance. Yes folks, let them go out of business, and let the State take it over. Yeah I hear murmurs of "that's socialist philosophy". So what. What have they done for the people of Illinois besides screw them time, after time? This company, and any other utility, just isn't "TOO Big To Fail". Their rampant greed will be their undoing, so let them fail, pack their bags, and find some other chump State that will allow them to continue fleecing consumers.

In essence, it's all a domino effect. Take Vermont for instance. Health care cost spiral out of control because of the greed of insurance companies. Vermont said (Paraphrasing here) "Enough, let's look out for the people, and solve this on our own." An approach such as that will make other companies, no matter the product, think twice about screwing over consumers. People in other States elected GOP governors, and State assemblies in record numbers last year, much to their shock at how they boot-lick companies into giving tax break, after tax break. Only to see these very same companies/utilities jack up prices on consumers after picking their wallets, and purses clean with ZERO accountability. The people in this country are not asleep. They will see what's going on in Vermont, and the battle here in Illinois with such companies, and demand those newly elected GOP governors, and State assemblies follow such examples, or be VOTED out of office.

The people of this country does not ask for anything but a fair shake. When rampant greed denies them that fair shake, they know what to do about it, they vote. ComEd isn't "Too Big To Fail". They can, and should if their only agenda is fleecing consumers.

Hey Governor Quinn, follow Vermont on the Health care blueprint.

Frankhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03425454436500469972noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8067225091130253868.post-1727751143109020852011-05-28T12:55:00.001-05:002011-05-28T12:55:55.839-05:002011-05-28T12:55:55.839-05:00Ex-DuPage official got 2 preferential deals from former board colleaguesEx-DuPage official got 2 preferential deals from former board colleagues

Stop doing this to the people YOU swore an oath to protect, and defend. This "No Bid" process is nothing more than a slap in the face of consumers/taxpayers. Its only purpose is to enrich buddies.
