Shootings On South, West Sides Leave 15 Wounded « CBS Chicago

Shootings On South, West Sides Leave 15 Wounded « CBS Chicago

Meanwhile, our politicians continue ignoring the carnage. We all know why. There's no parents nor clergy people marching on city hall or Springfield, demanding universal background checks.

Sure, we all are in favor of universal background checks, closing the gun show loopholes, repealing the law barring civil action against gun makers and neighboring states. But, we don't demand it of our elected legislators. That's the big difference.

Woman shot in West Englewood

Since he's can't run for re-election, he may as well place the blame where it belongs. Local, state, and national politicians. Those are the ones squarely responsible for tying law enforcement's hands when it comes to gun violence.

They are responsible for not banning assault weapons, large capacity magazines, and passing universal background checks. They shielded gun manufacturers from civil suits. They have not demanded gun manufacturers installed "smart technology" on guns, so law enforcement find the offenders quicker.

They are responsible for passing insane open carry/concealed carry, and the asinine "stand your ground" laws. They are responsible for not simplifying sentencing guideline reforms when guns are used in crimes, and going after the infamous "straw buyer".

So yeah. Since he can't run again, why not put the blame where it squarely belongs? That would make a great speech.

6 Killed, 28 Wounded In Weekend Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

Talk about indifference. No marches at city hall by the clergy. No outrage displayed by elected officials. No threat of stopping political contributions from big business. Now, you really know why our elected leaders ignore the carnage. It doesn't affect them. As far as they are concerned, it's a Black and Brown problem.

FBI Boss Latest Official To Say Viral Video Has Chilling Effect On Policing « CBS Chicago

Jesus! When anyone is caught not doing their job, what else do you expect? If you are doing your job properly, why would you have concerns of being filmed? There's a simple approach for effective policing, but racist politicians have put in-place racist policies and directives. Hell they even encourage the hiring of racist cops and prosecutors. Those that attempt doing their jobs properly, are silenced. In the end, if you don't live in the neighborhood, how can you serve it properly?

6 Wounded In Chicago Shootings Since Friday Night « CBS Chicago

6 Wounded In Chicago Shootings Since Friday Night « CBS Chicago

Meanwhile, our politicians continue ignoring the carnage. We all know why. So when I observe column after column written about this horrid subject, word after word becomes repetitive. I should know. I'm guilty also.

How many times must we point at simple solutions, only to witness our politicians fuck them up? A perfect example is the legalizing of marijuana. Doing this one thing creates jobs and revenue for the state and federal governments. Yet, here we sit waiting on these puritanical nitwits to get off their asses and act upon it. Day after day, after day. Repetitive.

Elgin Drug Investigation Nets Five Arrests « CBS Chicago

Elgin Drug Investigation Nets Five Arrests « CBS Chicago

Meanwhile, our elected leaders continue with the finger pointing as carnage ensues. This is another example of stupidity from the war on drugs experiment gone bad. These idiots figure setting up shop in the burbs would be the best way in making fast money. Sadly, they were dead wrong. Yet here's the rub. Why the low bonds for a felony drug possession charge?

That oddity only creates a cycle of crime, not stopping it. Now you know why our politicians should take another hard look at sentencing guideline reforms. Maybe, just maybe the low bond cycle for such a dangerous drug will stop.

3 Killed, 17 Wounded In Weekend Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

Meanwhile, we had a million man march and politicians not passing nor introducing any serious legislation on gun control, or universal background checks.

If the above link isn't a classic definition of mass shootings, I'm at a loss. We know the cause, we know the solutions, yet we continue ignoring the carnage, and fixing it. Now I know how God felt when he kicked Adam and Eve's dumb-ass out of Eden. Dumb-fucks don't listen nor learn.

1 Killed, 7 Wounded In Thursday Shootings « CBS Chicago

1 Killed, 7 Wounded In Thursday Shootings « CBS Chicago

I wonder what those screaming aldermen/women will do about this? I know. They will scream more.

I've noticed no legislation being presented, just finger pointing. The only exception is the county commissioner that may soon introduce a bill designating these documented gang members as terrorist. On a serious note, since I've lived here (1991), I haven't seen my alderman/woman walking the streets in this area forever. Under the second Daley administration I beheld one cop knocking on doors introducing himself. There were sightings of cops riding bikes, and one on a motorcycle during summer months.

Now that we have Rham, nothing of the sort. So why scream at the top cop? He is only following orders from Rham. Talk about misdirected finger pointing. Rham said he would move cops from desk jobs, hire civilians in their place, and this would help in the reduction of crime. Since re-election, he said it again. That makes one ponder, why didn't it happen the first time? So come on aldermen and women, direct that screaming where it squarely belongs.

You must give Jesse Jackson credit. "Mass Shootings..." That's just three shootings being reported by our local media. Who knows how many more overnight? Yet, here's the problem. We have this thing called the constitution. So in essence, we can't unleash the police in rounding up "documented gang members". That is way too easy, and unconstitutional. But, yep there's always a but. We could designate these documented gang members terrorist and unleash the full power of the Patriot Act upon them.

Yep, give Jesse Jackson deserves credit.

1 Killed, 8 Wounded In Tuesday Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

Meanwhile, the mayor is in Washington, the governor just doesn't give a fuck, and the aldermen/women scream for the firing of the top cop while doing not a damn thing in helping crush this carnage.

Here's something all you poor excuse for leaders can do. Legalize and tax the shit out of marijuana. Think of all the local jobs it will create. You can fully fund school staff, police, fire, EMT, and begin a ton of construction projects. You can fully fund housing for the homeless, and hire staff for managing the buildings.

This first baby step will assist this city in crushing the carnage.

1 Dead, 11 Wounded In Weekend Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

Just because they are spread out over several days, politicians and the media don't consider these "mass shootings". Well politicians and media, any shooting that involves two per day is a "mass shooting". And sadly, it's happening all over the country.

Meanwhile, republicans keep making insane comments about guns. Maybe law enforcement should take a second look at their background checks. Regardless, it truly is up to the voters if they want common sense gun legislation passed. This will only happen when you stop voting for people that can't pass a background check.

Eight Injured In Weekend Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

Eight Injured In Weekend Shootings Across Chicago « CBS Chicago

We know this just isn't a thing in Chicago. We know it happens all over the country. So here's my question for mayors, governors and prosecutors. When will you begin charging them under state, or federal RICO act crimes, or as domestic terrorist? It's a simple question. Please feel free in replying.

Sitting on your ass isn't an answer. Ignoring the voters isn't an answer. Wishing they just kill each other off isn't an answer. With that said, please feel free in replying. Or should we expect no answer?

Is Chicago Street Violence Domestic Terrorism? « CBS Chicago

Is Chicago Street Violence Domestic Terrorism? « CBS Chicago

Call it what you wish. When your law enforcement agencies have a list of "documented gang members", that's an organized crime unit. Every state has adopted a version of the RICO act in dealing with this problem yet, don't enforce the law that comes with it, or simply ignores it. Either way, the blame is squarely on prosecutors.

It doesn't get any simpler folks. If law enforcement catches a "documented gang member" in possession of an illegally obtained firearm (which by the fucking way is a felony) used in the commission of a crime, you charge that fuck-nuts under the state and federal version of the RICO act. If the prosecutor doesn't, that soulless ghouls is back on the streets.

It truly isn't rocket science folks. Prosecutors must step-up their game and begin charging these ass-clowns under the state and federal RICO acts, gun-runners included.
