7 Wounded In Citywide Shootings On Wednesday « CBS Chicago


Now imagine if this city deployed its police force as they are doing in Ferguson, Missouri? People would applaud such an action for the simple fact, it would prevent documented gang members from their murderous ways.

Yet in the city of Ferguson, police are doing the exact opposite. They are terrorizing peaceful citizens. Here in Chicago, at the very least we get a description of either the vehicle, or person involved in these shootings. In Ferguson, they just lob teargas canisters willy-nilly into citizens lawns without regard who lives there. It could be an elderly couple or persons with breathing problems, or worse still, a disabled person. How in the hell can E MT's do there job when the police of Ferguson have such little regard for those people?

Here in Chicago we could deploy such a show of force in these so-called "hot spots". Our documented gang members would think twice before pulling a trigger. Well, unless they are really, really dumb. Alas, our poor excuse for a legislature can't envision passing tougher gun laws and sentencing reform. So the gun-runners continue going out of state purchasing weapons, and the documented gang members continue their murderous ways.
