Now you know exactly why our criminal justice system is so fucked up. Why on earth would you allow "FELONS" house arrest? This practice must end.
This law was designed for people committing misdemeanor crimes, not for felons. Felons are supposed to be locked the fuck up, because they have the highest potential of repeating crimes. This repeat offender should have never been given such a sentence, and now he gets another slap on the wrist. Think about it. He'll be 38 when he's released. If you really want to get serious about the sentencing laws, make damn sure he's 58 when released. This poor excuse for a human, and his cohorts are straw buyers. If he got "18 months" house arrest, what did his flunkies receive? It's not mentioned in the article.
House arrest should be for misdemeanor crimes, not for convicted felons. This practice must end.
