Supreme Court rejects plea to ban taping of police in Illinois



Don't take this the wrong way, but, when you are the top law enforcement official for the county, re-reading the Constitution isn't going to hurt you.

Sure, I don't have all the degrees that you do, but if they start handing out degrees in common sense, I'd have you beat by a long shot. You had to go waste taxpayer money on a law that anyone with a brain knew it will get struck down as unconstitutional.

Special note for all prosecutors. Police, unless conducting hidden surveillance, do their jobs in the public. You can't restrict public observation, or recording of these public servants doing their job. What's next? No observation or recording of trash collection, street sweeping, and firemen putting out fires? You see how stupid that sounds?

Now do the right thing. Go in your pocket, and reimburse the taxpayer for this unconstitutional undertaking. We the people, need for you to do this, so you will know never, ever bring a brain fart such as this to ever develop again. We just may have mandatory Constitution classes for you prosecutors. Couldn't hurt after-all.
