Oh man, did you check out his reason why? "The people want someone that will fight for them." That must be some crack he's smoking. I distinctly recall him telling his "constituents" (Paraphrasing) Don't expect me to do shit for you. Or words to that effect.

This is what happens when you vote against your interest. You get screwed. Riddle me this voters. Do you want a fully staffed police, and fire department? Do you want your crumbling roads and bridges repaired? Do you want a functioning public school system that really educates your kids? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then vote for a candidate that will work day and night to make those things happen. This is why you vote. You vote because you want better access to transportation, decent roads, and bridges, and competent, fully staffed public safety services. You don't vote for, forgive the expression, deadbeat dad's that don't want you to have the SAME access to health-care that he enjoys at your EXPENSE!

The possible real reason he's "Skipping" the convention, is that they (Mitt) don't want a dead beat dad trolling around the hotel. If he did go. Who would he be "fighting for"? Certainly not the voters.
